Cilantro is a gem of a restaurant situated at the start of Leith Walk, in prominent position for pre-theatre dining, before a show at Edinburgh Playhouse. Not to mention a fantastic spot to enjoy an incredible dining experience in-between Fringe Shows this August.

Loch Lomond is only an hour and a half drive from Edinburgh and the best medicine for the soul. I spent a long weekend In September 2020, climbing Scotland’s most southerly Munro ‘Ben Lomond,’ paddle boarding on the loch and tucking into local produce on Inchmurrin island.
I’d been wanting to check out The Little Bakery in South Queensferry for long enough and a Monday during the October school holidays just happened to be the perfect date. I was meeting another teacher friend and I had decided on our venue.
