Having been living in Dalry, 5 minutes from Haymarket train station, for 6 months now I am embarrassed to say that I walk past its array of tempting taste spots everyday but haven’t sampled them! However tonight was the night and I set out to visit First Coast. Continue reading
Chocolate is the way to a girl’s heart so I rounded up my boyfriend’s sister to join me on a chocolate tour of historic Edinburgh.
Last Wednesday (29th July) I was invited by my good friend House of Herby to an event by We hae meat. Having just moved to Edinburgh I relied on old faithful, Google maps to get me to the location in Leith (somewhere I’ve only been twice in my life). I arrived to partake in a debate regarding the rightful name of one of We hae meat’s most popular products. What I would call square sausage, is known by many names from flat to Lorne sausage. Anyone who knows me, knows I love the deal websites on offer such as ‘Groupon’, ‘Wowcher’ and ‘Itison.com’. Although it can be a nuisance having copious amounts of emails sent to your inbox each day, scouring these websites have allowed me to experience some fantastic food that I just wouldn’t have discovered otherwise. I jumped at the chance to book, with no specific date or person in mind to go with, I knew I’d use it at some point! Continue reading

Lucky for me, and capital dwellers alike, Artisan Cheesecakes has set-up in the city conveniently located in Bruntsfield and the shop overlooks the Bruntsfield Links park which provides a welcome view when sipping on your coffee and tucking into your little slice of heaven.. So what is all the fuss about I hear you ask? Continue reading
